Project Brief

Design a set of 8 flash cards that reflect something that was affected by the Covid-19 virus. Use visual elements and semiotic terms to help readers clearly understand selected theories.
Our Concept

This project will focus on three main conspiracy theory movements which developed during the pandemic – QAnon, the anti-vax movement, and the anti-5G movement – examining their interplay with far-right and mainstream right-wing politics, their widespread dissemination through digital platforms, and their unique visual-digital cultures.

Popular digital platforms enable misinformation to spread on a massive scale – “In contemporary social media platforms, conspiracy theories are highly visible and have even become a commonly used rhetorical instrument in the mainstream public, political discourse and popular culture.”
